Atzarin Arrangement of Musical Notes - Interval Sequencies

Musical notes are arranged at buttons so that in the same direction of the bellows on one diagoanal side of each triangle there is an interval of a whole tone, a major second, and an interval of a whole tone and a semitone, a minor third, on the top or bottom side of the triangle, and an interval of a two whole tones and a semitone, a perfect fourth, on the other diagonal side of the triangle. Notes are likewise arranged in the opposite direction of the bellows, but between the notes produced at the same button in different directions of the bellows there is a semitone difference.

These intervals form sequencies along the contiguous sides of the triangles. Minor third intervals along the rows, major second intervals along one set of diagonals and perfect fourths along the other set of diagonals. Intervals along rows may ascend from left to right or right to left and along diagonals from the inner row, nearest to the bellows, to the outer row, or vice versa, but both diagonals always ascend in the same direction in the same arrangement. This, coupled with the fact that the note produced on the pull of the bellows is a semitone either above or below the note obtained at the same button on the push, gives rise to eight different possible embodiments of Atzarin.
