In principle, this isomorphic arrangement of notes constitutes an excellent keyboard layout. In practice, however, it is even more alien to people who play a diatonic instrument or conventional bisonoric layout than the international chromatic layout. Directionally biased, it suffers from long wrap-around distances, has non-adjacent minor thirds, and greatly distanced half step or semitone intervals. More information. In this sense, it is probably not a good option as an "upgrade" from a diatonic to a chromatic instrument. A better option would be an Atzarin layout.
The example shown on this page is only one possible embodiment of this kind of layout on 31 buttons for left hand based on prospective layouts by Richard Morse at the Button Box as found at Jax RCFB Hayden Duet Concertina Page, not real layouts found on any concertina for sale as yet.
